Before Installation:

  • Allow flooring to acclimate for 48–72 hours in the room of installation.
  • Subfloor must be clean, dry (maximum 2% moisture), and level (no more than 3mm variation over 2m).
  • Install vapor barriers if required (especially over concrete).

Installation Process:

  • Choose floating or glue-down installation method as per subfloor and project requirements.
  • Maintain a 10mm expansion gap around all walls, columns, and fixtures.
  • Stagger the end joints by at least 25–30cm for stability and aesthetic appeal.
  • Use spacers during installation to maintain consistent expansion gaps.
  • For click-lock installation, angle and press planks together gently; for glue-down, apply adhesive evenly with a notched trowel.

Best Practices:

  • Install flooring parallel to the longest wall or main light source for the best visual effect.
  • Avoid installing in bathrooms, saunas, or wet rooms.
  • Sweep or vacuum the floor regularly to remove abrasive dust and dirt.
  • Use only a damp mop with a pH-neutral wood floor cleaner — avoid soaking the surface.
  • Immediately clean any liquid spills with a soft dry cloth.
  • Place doormats at entrances to reduce dirt and moisture tracked inside.
  • Use felt pads under furniture legs to avoid scratches.
  • Avoid walking on floors with sharp, high-heeled shoes.
  • Re-oil or re-finish the surface every few years based on wear and usage.
