Before Installation:

  • Acclimate the flooring to room temperature (48–72 hours) in the room where it will be installed.
  • Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry (max 2% moisture), level (within 3mm variance over 2m), and structurally sound.
  • Vapor barriers are recommended for concrete subfloors.

Installation Process:

  • Choose between glue-down or floating installation based on the subfloor and project requirements.
  • Maintain a 10mm expansion gap around walls, fixtures, and other obstacles.
  • For floating floors, ensure a tight click connection for stability; for glue-down, use a recommended adhesive and follow manufacturer instructions.
  • Stagger planks by at least 25–30cm for a seamless look and maximum stability.

Best Practices:

  • Install planks parallel to the longest wall or the primary light source to enhance the visual effect.
  • Avoid installations in rooms with excessive moisture or humidity (e.g., bathrooms).
  • Regular cleaning: Sweep or vacuum the floor frequently to remove dirt and debris.
  • Damp mopping: Use a well-wrung cloth with a mild wood cleaner. Avoid soaking the floor with excess water.
  • Immediately wipe up spills to prevent moisture damage and staining.
  • Protect the floor: Use felt pads under furniture to prevent scratches. Avoid dragging heavy objects across the surface.
  • Periodically re-oil or re-coat the floor, especially in high-traffic areas.
  • Place doormats at entrances to reduce dirt and moisture from entering.
